Biblical Generosity || 2 Corinthians 9:6–15
Sunday, January 10, 2021 — Worship@Home resources for FirstPres Hayward
As our congregation has made the decision to move to a digital online format for our Sunday Family Gathering due to COVID-19, FirstPresKids is here to provide resources that can help you create your own at-home family worship experience or supplement the one that will be streamed on Sunday mornings, 10PST from FirstPres Hayward.
NOTE: You can also go to the FPK YouTube Channel to view most (not all) of these materials on this week’s FirstPresKids YouTube Playlist.
Scriptural Focus: instructions for sharing our resources freely
Lesson Objective: to understand that generosity is not giving extra or leftovers (as our current society thinks), that it is not something to be done for special credit or as a rule, but that the Bible tells us simply to give and do so freely, because God gives to us

Opening or Closing Prayer: Dear God, Thank you for your free, unconditional and abundant love for us. When we feel and know your love, when we know that you sent your beloved child, Jesus, to spend time on earth with humans, showing us your example of how to live and love well— we can walk that same path of free, unconditional and abundant love. Let your love for us overflow our hearts so that we give and share what we have freely and joyfully. Help us to bring your vision, your goodness, your heaven to earth in all we do. Amen.
